I agree with Gaylene too. People get caught up in their own worlds. I try to adjust my pace to those I am with — I am a fast walker — but I wouldn’t want anyone to feel left behind.

When I ride my bike with one of my good friends, I acknowledge that I naturally ride quite a bit faster than her, and always let her know that every few miles, I’ll stop and give her a chance to catch up. It’s more fun that way too.
