Is this lipstick OK?

...and if not, tell me what colour should I pick. Brighter, darker, warmer, cooler? I feel that it's a bit too muted (I'm most probably a Clear Winter) and a more saturated shade would work better.

I think it depends on the look you're going for? This is a great neutral and would probably be a great compliment to some of the dark eyed looks you've shown x

It's very muted - is that what you're going for? It looks almost more like a lipgloss, especially in the first pic.

That said, it's very flattering for your skin tone. Maybe a stronger shade in the same palette would provide more contrast - it really depends how obvious you want to get.

You have beautiful eyes by the way, really naturally stunning!

Yes, it's quite neutral, because I'm a bit afraid to try more intense colours. I think that I need at least two lipsticks: one in a dramatic colour (for special events) and one more muted.

I think the current color is fine for a very natural everyday look. I like the bottom right as well. I dislike the bottom left the most, almost looks like a purple fat lip.

Hmm, what kind of look are you going for Magda? Personally I don't *want* to look like I'm wearing lipstick. I want people to look at me and notice the whole picture, not my lips or my lipsticks. Or maybe think "wow, her natural lip color looks great." Basically I just hate makeup that calls attention to itself or causes the makeup to be noticed instead of the person wearing it.

I think you could go a bit brighter if you wanted to, but I don't think you need anything too dark or bold, unless you are going for some sort of dramatic evening look, which is not something I know anything about. I realize most people like heavier makeup than me though, so keep that in mind.

I like it a lot, this is a perfect colour for you if you want to go for the natural look (and your eyes, sigh, gorgeous!!).

A cooler, darker red will also look amazing on you (love the colour on the lower left in your Photoshop collage), even darker than that can work.

This is a lovely lipstick for a natural daytime look or when you want a smokey eye. I do think the bottom right lipstick in your collage makes your eyes look the most vivid. A second slightly more daring lipstick may provide you with ample variations. I often blend two lipsticks together (I own three) to suit my mood.

I like the darker of your photoshop colors (bottom left). I think you should try on a dark lip gloss. The color will appear more sheer once it's on your lips than in the tube. You and I have similar coloring, and I have a dark burgundy gloss that is very pretty on and not overwhelming at all.

Here's an example - it's not the burgundy one, it's a bright red I had on this morning. You can see how the shade changes and becomes more subtle when it's applied. That's why I always look for very bright or dark glosses; I think they are more fun and easier to wear than sticks.

I agree with Louise - it's a really useful shade for when you're doing more with your eye make-up (your eyes are amazing).

Heh, I realize that the colour is not an obvious one, but my lips are so pale that any shade of lipstick makes a difference. As I wrote, I think I need more than one lipstick. I guess that this particular colour would be good for an everyday look - my goal is to accentuate and enhance my natural colouring, but I'm not sure if the shade is the right one.

Jenava - thanks! I like the colour and it looks really nice on your lips. I'm thinking about burgundy too.

I think the one you're wearing in the first picture is great on you and there are probably many more that will be great on you. You are lucky to be able to wear lipcolor so well and you can have fun with lot's of them with out over doing it ofcourse.
Jenava, your lip gloss looks beautiful. I can see how the lip gloss leaves more of a tint than a matte finish. It's very pretty.

Beautiful soft neutral color on you. Frankly, you could just wear that with some mascara and you are set for days when you don't want to do more! Your eyes stand out so much all by themselves.

It is always good to have a lipstick color that is barely there. Maybe stick to wearing this one for a little while and see how you like the texture, how long it stays on, etc. before getting a darker one. It might help you narrow down what you're looking for in terms of formulas.

Is there a store near you where you can try different colors without buying?

To enhance your natural coloring, I think the shade you chose is lovely! Very fresh and nice for every day. You should also get a brighter and/or deeper color for the evening, and you can blend the two colors for different looks.
