How ironic in a way, since over in the NAS section there's some discussion of how petite sizing seems to be disappearing across retail. I've seen stats that say at least half of women are petite (defined as 5'4" and under. Like me), so why are we such an afterthought? It is just so weird that the industry can just decide that we are not desirable customers. We're here, we buy clothes, so umm...
Of course this is a different dimension than size 0000, which I am not. It's to do with height and the differences in clothing proportions. Maybe it's just easier for them to make patterns narrower and not bother with the other adjustments we need.
Is my revenge that I still shop in the often-cheaper juniors section because hey, why not? Their styles have become more fashionable and less strange over the years. Maybe retailers are like, well, you little people can just lump in with the high schoolers and stop complaining.
Chewyspaghetti, I wore a size 4 shoe in high school, and that was almost impossible in those pre-internet days. I was THRILLED once my feet got to size 5 by college! (Topped out at 6.)
