My husband thinks this is just a joke but since it's an Eileen Fisher and on sale at the Nordstrom Rack, I think it might be genuine.

I saw that, it looks like a coffee stain. The color is called "marble"...that's what they were going for and failed miserably, but yes I do think it is real.

This is NOT a joke. I remember the same stained-looking top before it hit the Rack and wondering about it then. With an item like this, there's a reason it's at Nordie's bargain store!

Maybe someone spilled their espresso all over a bolt of white silk so they decided to use it anyway. I have a hole in my lip according to DH and am always getting coffee and tea on my outfit. The top needs more stain to look intentional and I'm their woman for the job.

Ah...marble. If that is the effect they were aiming for, it seems to me that the design should have been more amorphous and diagonal, like an actual 'vein' of marble. And with more color variation. Just sayin'...It really does look like someone spilled an entire carafe of coffee down their front.

I think the garment designer/maker intentionally puts the brown stains on the shirt as in the product description. I've seen many impractical and ridiculous designs on runways! For someones, the more funny, strange styles the more they like them!!!

Torontogirl--you may be on to something! But for $238.00??? I guess if we are willing to buy pre-ripped denim jeans then perhaps there is a place for something like this. If only it actually resembled 'Marble'.
