Is this a double up? K/R

Help! I feel like I purchased something as a consolation prize.

I was trying to find this ATL collarless striped jacket in a store. Silly me didn't notice the "find in store" option on the website.

Well, the store didn't have it but they DID have the striped blazer that Angie posted and some of you have. So I purchased it.

I think it is super cute and will go with a lot of my outfits however I am now having buyer's remorse and worrying that I don't really "need" it because the blazer posted here in photo #2 already fills the same niche.

What do you think? Different enough or too similar?

i see why you would think the jackets fulfill that white and black knit jacket niche. i agree with you that the yellow would be " different". but, do you have room to duplicate?

Well, technically the ATL blazer is navy/cream and the one I already have is not a knit but they are very similar. I can certainly make use of the new baby. Of course, now I am wanting to buy a bright skirt to make it "pop" more. LOL

They are not identical obviously, but they are fairly similar. I would wait for a different color, perhaps.

Send the new one my way instead! I love it!

But seriously, they are very similar, and I really like the look of that old one. I'd return the new one (and buy the yellow or another color combo in stripes).

I would try to make some outfits with the new jacket. If you find that you are essentially making the same outfits as you did with the old jacket (just swapping out the jackets) then take the new one back. This is an exercise I've done and I often find that I end up only keeping one jacket and giving the other one away.

Well the old one has vertical (and diagonal) stripes and the new one has horizontal stripes!

They are similar, but to me the one you already have is low contrast while this one is high contrast so they give off different vibes.

Sunita, I would LOVE to return it in favor of the yellow one, sadly, it appears not to be available in my size any longer. It was my first choice, honestly. I went to stores looking but no dice.

Ana, that is a GREAT idea! My vision for this new coat involves a lot of bright color which is not what I'd been doing with the old one.

Aida, yes, I see what you are saying and agree. I think perhaps that's why I see it paired with bolder colors? Hmmm...

DH thought I should keep both, and he NEVER says that. So... At the very least I will sit on it a little longer.
