Is there a way to fix stretched shoes?

I bought a couple of pairs of Lifestride shoes back in December. I as super excited about them because there are ballet style, which I normally can't wear because of my narrow-ish feet and have about an inch heel. Well, I've been wearing them a lot, but now they seem to be stretching out and they are almost too wide now. Is there a way I can fix them? Or am I out of luck?

Other than wearing them with an insole I think you are out of luck.
Hopefully someone else will have better suggestions...

I can't do an insole in them. I was afraid I'd be out of luck.

You can try wetting them and let them dry in the sun, under the radiator or blowdry. This will usually allow the leather to shrink a bit. Then you can recondition.

However, I would only try this if the shoes are now absolutely too wide and you can't wear them at all. Things might go wrong.

If they're otherwise lost, I'd try wetting them down thoroughly and setting them in a semi-warm place to dry. Often leather will shrink a bit if you give it the chance.

I throw mine in the washer then let them dry in the sun. I figured it could not hurt because I could not wear them anyway. This works especially well with the Talbot's ballet shoes, both leather and cloth.

I just took a look at the shoes again and they made from "man-made materials". I usually buy leather shoes , but wasn't paying enough attention this time. I'm still going to give soaking them hot water and drying either in the sun or a hairdryer. I'll let you know how it works!
