Is there a name for this kind of wool?

I do a lot of thrift store shopping. My two favoritest shirts that I own are both great vintage finds that are made out of this super-thin wool. It doesn't look like wool, or even feel like, and they are not itchy at all to wear, but the label says "100% wool." I want to loko on ebay for clothing made of this fabric, but I'm not sure what to search for. "Wool" pulls up way too much stuff. Does this kind of wool have a specific name?

Do you have close-up photos of the material that you could post? It's really hard to tell what kind of wool it could be, but we might be able to give you an idea of the technique used to weave the fabric (for instance, wool crepe is different than a knit wool). High quality, tightly woven wool does not itch (unless you are a person that has a sensitivity to wool, and then almost ALL wool itches regardless of quality). Either way, sounds like you got some great pieces!

On your search, look for Merino wool (usually indicative of slightly nicer, non-itchy feel), and garments from the same line as the two shirts you like. Also, pieces from companies known for their quality materials would probably be a good bet.
