Is there a color that's absent from your wardrobe?

Just wondering, are there colors you don't or won't wear?

I reorganized my closet and put my tops in color order. I knew I liked bold, jewel tones, but I was surprised to see that I have pretty much every color represented in my closet. I also realized I have very little blue (aside from jeans, and a couple of navy items) and next to no pastels.

Years ago I wore a lot of red, but lately I've was drawn to that bright hot pink color.

I guess you can tell I don't really shop at J. Crew, huh?

What colors do you wear most and least?

Brown. I don't wear any shade of brown. I have one pair of brown shoes, and that is it. I actually wish I bought them in black instead, but I got them in France so there is no hope of ever finding them again.

I wear a ridiculous amount of purple. I'm beginning to try to limit future purple purchases. I can't remember the last time I wore yellow.

I'm also a big fan of bold, cool jewel tones. At the moment, my main colors are blue (especially cobalt and navy), fuschia, and lime green. Neutrals would be black, charcoal gray, and white.

My wardrobe is lacking the warm tones: yellow, orange, rust, beige; any brown I have is dark chocolate brown. I also don't have any pastels.

I have never been able to figure out "my colors". I think that would help me focus, and organize a better wardrobe. I can't say there are any colors that I avoid, it would be the hue, I suppose, of certain colors I avoid. I was going to say I won't wear yellow, but that's not true, some yellows look gastly next to my face, but I have a few yellow tops that I wear that look fine...now I'm getting confused again....

Red- I don't have any, though I'm not as opposed to it as Angie and others think Pink- I have one fuchsia t-shirt, and that's it. Most purples, though I will wear some darker, pinker shades. Pastels- never!

Yellow and purple are almost completely absent from my closet.

I'm a red head, so I feel like I have a limited amount of colors that are complimentary...(maybe it's just me) If it isn't a shade of blue,green, or purple I don't own it. I do have some brown because that is an easy complement to my wardrobe colors.

I think that at one point I heard Coral or Salmon is a color that is universally complementary, you just have to find the right shading for your skin tone....but I've never really delved into it.

NK, do you mean the colour itself or a particular shade of a colour?

I do not wear pastels, muted tones or dark brown. I am not opposed to a bright brown, but I'm not missing it either - but I'll wear chestnut brown as an accessory no problem.

I have every colour family covered in my wardrobe, with a strong emphasis on saturated yellow, red, green and turquoise.

All pastels are out and what little brown I have I am trying to get rid of:) I have some great pieces in that color...but not great on me:)

I don't own anything red except one handbag, I don't own anything yellow and, amazingly, apart from denim and one navy pinstriped jacket that could be mistaken for black, I don't actually own anything blue. Also no pink and very little orange. Hmm. What the heck IS in my closet?

I also thought this post was referring to specific hues rather than color families. I basically wear the same color palette as Angie, minus the chestnuts and brownish hues. No muted, pastel, or pale tones, though my mind is open to pale shiny or sparkley fabrics should I ever need anything that sparkles and shines...

I don't have much in brown; in fact i only have a pair of brown booties and a tan leather jacket. I have an abundance of grey and purple x

I don't think I have any yellow (and I think the last yellow item I owned was maternity wear and I hated it every time I wore it) but other than that I'm pretty open. I don't wear much brown, although I do have some and I really don't wear pastels.

I own 0 items in pastel colors. Whatever colors are missing from my Western clothes are abundantly present in my Indian clothes.

I have almost no white in my wardrobe. I've always been self conscious about it being see-through and not flattering on my figure (in my head you can see all the lumps and bumps through white!). I have a white moto jacket, but that's different. No white tops or anything.

Otherwise, I have pretty much every color. No pastels, I believe... and very little brown.

I used to have no white pre YLF, now I do, but have to get used to wearing it.
I have always loved jewel tones.
I do wear pastels in the summer. I thought everyone did!

I'm not sure what I meant by the question, but I think I got the answers I was looking for!

I don't think I necessarily avoid any particular color or shade of a color, even pastels, I just don't think they appeal to me as much as brighter shades, I guess.

Last summer, I picked up a tangerine blouse just because I loved the bright, summery color. When I got it home I wasn't sure the color was very flattering on me, but I found when I played around with my make up, I could seem to make it work.

hmm, i honestly can't think of a single color that's missing in my wardrobe. is that weird?! i even have a few pastels! and brown, even though it isn't really my favorite neutral. i guess i've just never really shied away from color!

for what it's worth, though, i have very little green, for some reason. an inordinate amount of blues, quite a bit of purples, reds and pinks, even a surprising amount of yellows! but not green. maybe i should be on the lookout...

Very little purple but I just bought a pale lilac peacoat for spring that I think is fabulous, in part because it is so unexpected (both unexpected to have a peacoat in purple, and to see ME in purple!). No powder blue, no yellow (no matter how trendy it was 5 years ago), few jewel tones. I'm envious when I see others looking fabulous in colours that don't suit me, but I'm drawn to browns, grays, and what I call "broken" shades, like olive green or deep teal.

I own absolutely nothing in yellow or orange. It is a pity, because they both look good with purple and my closet is in constant purple-overload. I also don't own brown clothes. Boots, accessories - yes. Clothes - no.

I've got no yellow, orange or green (apart from turquoise). Very little brown (and the two tops I have I don't wear), and very little blue or pink - I need to get more blue. Actually, I need to get more color in there period! Too much black, charcoal, grey and white.

Don't flame me but I LIKE AND WEAR PASTELS, I think they suit my colouring.I do not have many jewel tones in my wardrobe and I need to replace a blue toned red top which I have worn to death. I'm looking to add more blue greens to my wardrobe.

- Pastels
- White (except my new tunic and my jeans that I've only worn once ooops)
- Yellow (except 1 top which I trialled this year, and guess what the colouring doesn't suit me but I keep wearing it anyway)
- Brown is scarce but present - I have a shirt dress that I love, a jacket that I love, boots I love, and pants that I don't love so much
