I have had an epic struggle to find a business-suitable suit for work. I have found a jacket and a skirt that works for me in this travel-friendly fabric. Naturally, this is an internet only fabrication, so I've worn out the UPS guy going back and forth with sizes and styles. The pants pictured above fit nicely, the rise and the wide waistband keep my muffin nicely bundled. I'm just worried about how full the legs are at the thigh and at the bottom.
I do have the straight leg, non-curvy fit pants at home. My concern is that the fit is pretty tight. I'd be counting on them loosening up with wear--I have just the barest pinch of fabric under the curve of my butt, and there is a hint of pulling at the crotch--but just a hint. The fabric does have give in it--2% spandex. I have the identical pant, but not lined, in a different fabric, and with a bit of wear induced growing, the fit is perfect and flattering. The way the jacket fits, there is no butt-fudge factor--my entire rear end is visible because the jacket hits me just below my pelvic bone, and above where my legs meet my torso.
Sadly, a straight leg pant in a curvy fit exists in the Ann Taylor universe, just not in a size larger than 2 petite, and I need an 8.
