I'm in!! I just did that this past week, and it was wonderful
I had the chance to spend two afternoons on it:
1) I took out the summer 'keepers' I won't wear unilt next year and put them in storage box.
2) I separated the summer 'non-keepers' to donate or consign (the consignees are now touring around with me in the car until next week!).
3) I got the fall/winter things out of storage box. I tried them all on and put them into at least two outfits before I let them into the closet.
4) I packed away summer sandals and organized booties. I'm NOT ready for tall boots yet. Bonus purging of shoes that cause my feet distress now - too flat, too tall, too narrow, there were LOTS
I wanted to take pics of these outfit creations, but immediately camera battery died, so I made notes on each in categories that work for me: skirt outfits, dress outfits, pants outfits, jeans outfits, dressy outfits. When I suddenly decided to work Friday morning at a middle school, I was pleased to look at my pants list - because that's what I felt like wearing that day
Even if the days warm up now, it's so clearly autumn here that it was easy to say 'bye' to summer clothes and summer-only colors.
