I'm still spending more time surfing YLF and reading all of Angie's advice and all the helpful comments then I am shopping. So I was totally stoked when I realized how much it was sinking in. I walked out of Marshall's last week - with nothing.... tried on 5 white blouses (which is item #1 on the need list), too sheer, too tight, too big, too cheap, wrinkles too much. Then there were the 3 pairs of $188 black pants (for the wonderful Marshall's price of $39.99) - sorry I can't remember the brand. Beautiful pants. Very well made. One fit, one might have in a size larger, one could have been altered to fit perfectly. BUT.... none of them had pockets. They had fake pockets. But for $40 (my old brain said)? And I said (what would Angie do?) Are they perfect? Do I love them? Would I pay $188 for any of them? Resounding NO! I figured out a long time ago that not having at least one pocket drives me crazy. In the past, I'd talk myself into it because the prices were so good and I'd end up hating it. My closet is full of "bargains" that I talked myself into or settled for. Today I stopped at two more of my favorite stores and tried on a bunch of their new fall items. Nope. Not going to work. Doesn't fit, don't like the quality, don't like the fabric. Thank you, Angie, YLF and everybody!
