Is anyone wearing sandal/ open toe mules?

In summer I like to be able to slide in and out of shoes. I was thinking of a block heeled sandal mule instead of complicated straps and buckles (even though those and laces look gorgeous) to wear with crops.

Are mules like that current?

Anyone wearing one they love?

I would if they would stay on my feet.

But I am stuck with closed back flats or lots of buckles and straps.

I like that style a lot - and also have quite a few pair in wedge heel styles. I know the mule wedge may not be the most current look, but I like the height it gives me, I like that I can manage a higher wedge than a heel of equal height, and like you, I often appreciate not having to fuss with buckles and straps. My favourite block heeled sandals are these from Hasbeen. I do have an inner hidden hippie side I realize these aren't exactly what you mean, but.....

other than my Birkalikes with the toe post, or other toe post, flip flop, thong, or whatever you call them, type sandals I do not. In my area those wedge type sandals are the rage for older women, so I have usually thought of them as frumpy. However, I am not seeing anyone wearing the highter chunky heel type. They probably will not stay on my feet though. My fav in higher heel or wedge sandals are the ones with back zippers. Much easier to deal with than buckles and almost always fit well and stay on my feet.
