I aligned with Angie’s post until she got to Personality, where I am dramatically different. I’m INTJ, so very analytical about what I have in my closet and making sure it is a quiet representation of competence at work and a quiet compilation of acceptable pieces I can throw on without much fuss on weekends or for social events. I have a sarcastic sense of humor that I would never put on a T-shirt as I am too private. I don’t do twee, so have a No Sheep rule for my pyjamas. So I have an organized closet where I can toss on almost anything together and head out the door. I evaluate pieces first by function, not fashion, and so keep everything that works and get rid of things that annoy me with fit, by being too flashy, or drawing too much attention. I also have sensory limitations so will get rid of anything scratchy, rustling or noisy. I was also raised by a mother who sewed, so I learned a lot about fabrics and the proper construction of garments that has helped me pick pieces that last.
