Interviewing with crazy hair...yay or nay?

So, I kept my red hair, but now I'm a tad nervous that it'd be too much for job interviews.

I am in a creative field, which is why I felt ok expressing myself this way before I got laid off. But now, meeting people and networking will be a part of my everyday life.

As much as I LOVE my red hair, now I'm wondering what kind of first impression it makes.

Keep in mind, I'm not trying to get a job at a law firm or a bank. I'm a writer for advertising agencies and I'm hoping to start freelancing.

Amy- you posted pics of the new hair, and I think it's fabulous. I don't think it's too much, even for a conservative job interview.

I wholeheartedly agree with Khris. It's a bold red for sure, but it's not outrageous or too punky like blue hair or a mohawk. If anything it makes you look confident and creative, which is exactly how I think you want to look.

I don't think your hair looks crazy at all. The red is YOU, which makes it decidedly non-crazy. It fits, it works. Definitely keep it! You feel great and confident wearing that color, and that will show through.

I am 100% with the gals. The hair is KILLER. Keep it a little more sophisticated on the attire though – funky and creative, yet professional for interview purposes.

I don't think your hair is crazy at all! The colour might be bold but your cut is very polished. It is simply very YOU, which makes you look confident. Like Ana said, that confidence comes shining through, which is exactly what you want in an interview. Don't stress about it- you look great.
