Someone should get one and try it out! I am another one who loves the look of scrunched blazer sleeves but have never been able to make them stay up.
ETA: I've tried the elastic band thing (I used a hair tie) but found it super fussy - basically to keep the elastic hidden you have to either cuff the sleeve first (which doesn't work on all blazers) or artfully arrange the scrunch just so, which of course stays for like 5 seconds.
Hehehe... I'm reminded of the set of decorative elastic bands I saw on Etsy earlier this week, originally sold in the 1950s to help keep those sweater sleeves scrunched just so.
On second inspection, is this really Gentlewoman-appropriate? The ease is, I think. But the slouch? I'm looking carefully at the craftsmanship and the seams appear kind of puckery, and there's the funky hems on the sleeve and the bagginess at the bottom of the pocket. Fabric is linen and viscose--is it all a product of the fiber? If it is, does that make it OK?
I liked the idea of it, but it's definitely more casual due to the slouch and the fact that the linen based fabric will certainly wrinkle. My taste would be for this look in a slightly more tailored tropical wool.
