Hmm...I can start to rattle off a list of style preferences that haven't changed since high school, but then I drift into an equally long list of style preferences that have changed, or changed and then changed back again and again.
Always: turtleneck sweaters, chunkier shoes, deep parts in my hair, sometimes with bobby pins, opaque tights, plaid
Come and go: Jeans- I wore old 501s through highschool and remember saying I'd never wear a flare. Then I loved flares and skinnies looked crazy. Then skinnies were all that made sense. Then I found boyfriend jeans and felt like I'd come home to my 501s. I also go through periods of a year or more where I don't touch jeans at all.
Waist surrendering is also back for me. The dresses are a little longer, but the trapeze dresses I'm loving now remind me of my babydoll dresses from back in the day.
I feel like if knit blazers had existed earlier I would have always loved them. I always liked the look of a blazer, but I don't have an easy off the thrift store rack fit. It's taken me a very long time to figure out how jackets work. I'm still figuring it out.
I was also excited when motos came back, although it took a couple of years for me to find a few that are just right, because I always loved a moto, but the selection wasn't good enough for me to be picky enough about fit for a few decades.
