Great article. With the majority of women in America now between a size 16 or 18 this just makes business sense. I hope other retailers do the same.

That is hopeful. And here's hoping they bring back their gutted plus Classiques Entier line.

"We're only rolling out a fully expanded size range to the places where there is a demand for it—a need for it," Smith says. "As of now, we don't know what those markets are, as we're waiting on more conclusive data, but what I can tell you is that we see this as an opportunity for us to grow our business and to take of our customers at the same time."

I hope this works well for them! I thought it was great that in this year's NAS catalog they didn’t have a separate plus section - they mixed sizes together in layouts. AND some items that were also available in misses were only shown on a plus size model. Of course when your plus size model is Ashley Graham, it’s hard to go wrong....

I hope it is successful- it seems so logical and sensible. I don't know the Good American jeans brand but applaud them for taking this stand. I have always avoided Kardashian branded items but maybe that was narrow minded or short sighted.

Bravo! May this be the beginning of a new era. It's seriously about time things changed. For one thing, it sure would be nice to shop with a "plus-sized" friend without feeling like we have to split up and go to far corners of the store.

I'm very curious to see if/how size inclusion takes root in different retail sectors (can't wait for the day when mainstream activewear/outdoor gear brands start selling beyond a size 10/12...). I hope this experiment is wildly successful. It's nice to see a power player like Nordies leading the way and setting terms for manufacturers. I have a sort of knee-jerk refusal to shop celebrity brands, so Good American was not on my radar; following this write-up, I might give them a second look. (Busy day -- sorry I can't respond to everyone!)

Wouldn't it be nice to have a counterpart to the men's department, where all the dresses and skirts and other women's clothing could be found? Then you wouldn't have to wander between designers row and designers off labels and top shop and juniors and all the other fanciness. While we're at it, give us sizing like men's as well, measuring at least two dimensions (waist + inseam, collar+ sleeve). We know it's possible, because we've got band and cup sizes already.
