So lets say you have a toddler and attend outdoor playgroups and music/movement classes a few times a week. Jeans and other stiff pants are not so good for dancing around with toddlers, so I've been acquiring some jogger type pants (see Finds below). I like them, but when I wear them with a tee and a hoodie or other knit top (which is what I would wear to a playgroup if I were wearing jeans on the bottom), I feel like a slob.
I need a more structured jacket. Right now I'm using this softshell moto jacket (mine is black): http://www.oiselle.com/shop/ou.....ker-jacket. It's pretty great, but it's getting too hot when it's sunny and it doesn't really say breezy-spring-casual. I'd like to put it away 'til the fall. So what am I looking for? Maybe a white denim jacket? A lightweight bomber? I think field coats and anoraks (anything with too much length/bulk) look weird with joggers -- the combined lack of structure gives off a vibe I don't like?
What do you think of the jacket silhouettes below? Other ideas? For a more full-on dance studio look, I could add one of these wrappy hoodies: http://www.alternativeapparel......ap-12509e1
