What do you guys do about those messages in your inbox saying they want you to be a brand rep? Are any of them for real, and how can you tell the difference?
LOL if they ever sent me something, I know it would be a scam because I don’t post anything fashion related on IG!
However, I have been messaged by other entities to “partner” and with a little bit of cursory research, they always appear sketchy. The only exception has been Nikon, and I didn’t see much increased engagement with my account even after allowing them to share one of my images.
I don't get them, but I get other scam messages on whatsapp, linked in and email all the time. My niece who has an instagram account for her dog gets them very regularly.
SF- what you will typically get is an offer to be an “ambassador “. This is really just a discount program and you have to decide if that’s something you’re really interested in. If you’re looking to do affiliate marketing , there are websites set up for that where you join and receive offers. Usually you need at least 1,000 followers for this. Or you can work directly with a company (they should be offering you free product and giving you some sort of cut of sales, etc), or though Instagram itself. I hope that helps!
