I was really inspired by Suz's recent wide legs with stripes and tweed combo. It looked fabulous and I thought it would be a great formula to emulate. I also have a strong affinity for all things striped, so I just couldn't resist giving it a go with some of my wider leg jeans.
In my 3 versions of Suz' s formula, I have replaced her tweed jacket with some other options as I don't own any tweed. Also my wide leg jeans are actually considered either baggy or a loose fit rather than a true wide leg. And there are no scarves in my outfits, they just don't work as well on me as they do Suz.
Outfit #1 Double blue striped Breton, denim on denim with baggy dark wash jeans and medium wash jean jacket finished with blue loafers.
Outfit #2 White/black striped Breton, with light wash loose jeans, black cropped linen blazer and ballet flats.
Outfit #3 Grey/white striped Breton, grey 90s dad jeans, and white denim jacket and black sandals.
I rather enjoy the French chic vibe of this formula. I can mix and match the striped tops, short jackets and footwear in a variety of combinations and I get to wear my belt again.
Would love to hear your feedback and do you have any formulas that you rely on to pull your outfits together?
