Inspiration Calendar update

Hello! I've posted some Inspiration Calendar outfiits - it's interesting because what I considered to be a nice, stylish dress (the black and white one) is now actually kind of boring to me.....I'm having so much more fun matching colorful separates than just throwing on a patterned sheath dress...

What do you think?

I love the second two outfits especially. And I think the bold print on that black and white combo rescues from looking anywhere near "boring".

For more "edge" you could try a hair up-do and some chunky metallic bangles, and maybe a pop of colour in a belt? I'm seeing pastel yellow or pink (to be a bit daring!) although that does kind of defeat the point of a monochromatic palette...

The thrid outfit is definitely my favourite and something I would wear. Gorgeous!

You certainly are hitting your stride Brenda. The third outfit is my favorite.. I especially love the unexpected tan colored bag with that. It gave just enough contrast to the outfit. The second outfit is really nice too although a pop of color somewhere would have been perfect. Turquoise or red beads ,red shoes or a yellow bag (not all at once) would be yummy with the black and white.
I liked that sweater with the black sheath dress better actually. Somehow pairing it with the pastel yellow loses something. You're coming a long way sweater-wise though?
Are people at work commenting on your style transformation?

Queenie, I do have two co-workers that can't wait to see what I'm going to wear everyday. The rest of the staff doesn't really get me and my love for clothes....in fact, if they are commenting about my style transformation, it's probably behind my back, and probably not very nice. But oh well, such is life!
I have you all who do "get" me, so that's where my energy goes!!!

I'm sure nobody is talking behind your back Brenda... people who don't "get" our enthusiasm for style usually don't notice one way or another. But it is fun to have someone share in our enthusiasm isn't it?

I wouldn't worry about what others think or say. I am enjoying your style transformation and you have my praise! I like all three outfits. The bow/cardi combo is my fave. I think the black and white dress can use a pop of color to jazz it up. Overall a nice set of outfits!

I like all three outfits. I think the first one is my fave. I also enjoyed seeing how you get your inspiration. When I see a photo I like, I think I tend to be a bit too literal about it and then can't really reproduce my own version.
