Inspiration Calendar - Seeing Spots!

hello! Since the YLF Forum was so pivotal in my decision to shorten my polka dot dress, I had to share with you how I wore it. And I ask the question - too many polka dots?

Also, I've reverted a little back to my conservative style with sweater sets - I could probably use some gentle nudging/encouragement to be a little bolder...

I really like this look on you. I think that it suits you down to a "T" and you seem happy and relaxed wearing it.

To answer the questions in your blog, I like the combination of the two different coloured dots and I think that the red shoes would have added a bit of omph, but I also wonder if the red would have detracted from the dots and that they wouldn't have been the star of the show.

now, about the sweater set... first off I want you to go to your closet and break up any sweater set you have hanging on the same hanger. go ahead... I can wait all day
done? good... Now you can look at your sweater sets objectively as separate items of clothing rather than a pair that needs to be worn together. Your sweater sets are hereby declared divorced and are free to date around

Try that skirt and cardi with a fun bold color top and see what you think.

and since your sleeveless shirts will all be hung together and your cardis hung together further down the bar, they won't even see eachother in the closet..... (am I just a tad OCD?)

I like the polka dot dress and jacket, I would prefer the red shoes and no dotted scarf. But following on Queenie's suggestion above, if you wore the white cardi from the now parted sweater set with a black top underneath and the polka dot scarf, that would look nice.

I love the mixed dots, so smart. I've seen mixed dots overdone or done in a way I didn't care for them. I think you nailed the look. I think you were right not to wear the red shoes. I think they would have taken this look from crisp-smart into busy territory.
Queenie-are you getting attorney fees for the sweater set divorce?
