Ah - they didn't have that one in my store, Sveta. And they didn't have 25% off on new arrivals, either - but they had 50 to 70% off all winter stuff. Including bags and such. I was very tempted. The blue jacket Inge linked to (with the funnel neck) was part of that sale, I think - the price is unbelievable, really, but I did not think the quality was as high as on the white one or as on the taupe jacket I just purchased.

I blame my new Danier fascination on you and Shannon! I think I've become a leather jacket fiend!

My .02 is that the ivory is stunning and has that Bond Girl chic, but that particular shade of blue is incredible on you too! How will you ever decide? Maybe the wait until after London and when the ivory is on sale will help?

I am happily taking any blame for Danier - I think we are very lucky to have such a store here in Canada. The only negative thing about Danier that you cannot stop with one jacket! or two..or three...but who is counting anyway?
In my store they also have all these last season jackets on deep sale but they also had 25% off for full price items last week and at least this week I was told.
It is interesting but I did not like that blue jacket very much - partially because the leather was not that soft but also because it just did not work well for me style wise - too short...but the white one was awesome.

Yes, that's my plan, Sveta. The taupe comes to London. Interesting...I didn't notice that the blue jacket was shorter, but it did fit me more snugly and I also did not like the quality of leather as much as on the white. And the sleeves were shorter on it, which I thought would be a problem for you and Inge.

Angie, thank you so much for weighing in. I was surprised at how much I really liked the white. It's just a lovely jacket, full stop. And is a soft white so suited me better than I expected. I think I will take Sveta's advice and wait for the sale (because she's right - they never sell out). And meanwhile I will think about outfits I might make with it in spring.

Ok I will try my quest -- at the very least I can try some on and then stalk them what colours should I try? I am kind of enamoured with the idea of white...I would like to try Shannon and Suz's blazer in black also if they have it. Our Danier just opened and I think it is pretty small.

Ha - I tried on that black and white jacket! It might work for you, Angie. It was a bit long for me and the fit wasn't quite right in the torso somehow...I didn't seem to fill it out properly. Plus I felt the contrast was too high for me. But it's pretty cool!

Ceit - can't wait to see what you try on. And yes, don't feel limited by what they have in stock. They can get it for you to try.

OMG! what is this a Danier revolution on YLF! I am going to visit Danier right after work today.

I think what I really liked about the white one (who, me, obsessed???) is that I could tell right away how well it would conform to one's own body. It felt easy to wear, know what I mean? I think the blue one, being stiffer leather, would take longer to wear in. The white one felt elegant, somehow. I mean just the drape and cut of the jacket itself.

Oh, these jackets! You truly look princely in ANY color, and I'm anxious to hear which one (or two?) you decide to buy. The white is my first pick, if you have to choose.

Suz, I know what you mean: even by just looking at the website photos you can tell the white leather jacket is of amazing quality. And that's why I was drawn to it from the first place: it has a simple elegance that really appeals to me.

Oh nooooo Sveta, I didn't need to know that;-) (kidding of course;-) It's gorgeous in that shade of green as well, but I'm sticking to my original plan: I've been on the hunt for a white leather jacket for ages, and it would fill a wardrobe hole for me, so that should come first now. But it's tempting!!

Suz you MUST buy the white (order your size) and you will be the best looking thing in London (with the Petty's I am dying over this)

I am waiting until that white one goes on sale. It will, for sure, as Sveta says.
