Lately, in stores and online, it seems like there are more and more pieces with an utility, bold-explorer-in-the-mighty-jungle vibe.
And I'm thrilled because that's something I love!

How about you? Do you like such pieces and details? Do you have the impression it's on trend for Spring/Summer 18?

I’m less excited by the safari look and prints than I am that these tend to bring colours that I love: olives, camels, khakis, browns.... mmmm!

Yes I’ve noticed it too. So much olive green! And also the large scale tropical prints are big here too. I love the olive green, not so much the tropical florals. I love florals generally, but for some reason not tropicals. That lizard brooch in your finds is amazing. Below is a pic of my take on this look from a wiw a few weeks ago.

What a lovely collection of looks and finds, thank you Aurore! I love the safari style, but it takes some work to make it work on me, as the more masculine neutral pieces do not tend to love me back and nor do large jungle prints. I love the look though on others.

The picture no 5 is adorable, fabulous skirt and gorgeous styling with the jacket. Not sure I could pull it off, but love the look.

I love the idea of a safari-print jumpsuit! Sadly jumpsuits do something very weird to my behind. I think my rise is too long, or torso too long or something. Anybody else have that problem?

Jessikams, I have issues with jumpsuits as well, but not the same ones : they are usually either too tight at the hips or too wide at the waist. I think it's even more tricky to find a jumpsuit that fits that a dress that does!

I love these, the olive looks so fresh. My favourite look is #1, but that is probably because living in the Southern Hemisphere, we are starting to get autumn and winter clothing coming in, that this looks like a great option for cooler days.

I like these looks but it's not an easy color palette for me. I can do the greens if they get away from the really yellow-toned olives and are a little more sagey-blue. Beige and tan tones are kind of a kiss of death for me. But I like the vibe.

True, Janet, colors with yellow undertones may be hard to wear depending on one's skin tones (and undertones).

NICE. These Spring/Summer earthy tones were present on the catwalks. I prefer olive in the colder months, but I like this Summer vibe on others.

Not a huge fan of the safari look but I do love my leopard accessories. I mostly use them in the fall/winter but I found a pair of sandals at the end of last summer on clearance so I'll probably sport some leopard this summer.

I love those toucan earrings and the the shorts, tho.

Here are the sandals I bought. They have them this year but 24.99 is way too much. These are cheapo one season fun sandals and I wouldn't spend more than 10.00 for them. I think I paid less because it was the end of summer and I had a coupon.

The colors don’t work on me either, but I might use the blazer over the maxi skirt as inspiration. And some of the lines of the others also. And I can see buying black and white or gray jungle inspired bag or shoes. Thanks for the ideas.

Aurora, I love the colors and the tonal dressing! I've already got the olive pants and leopard belt, and have just ordered an olive summer jacket. I too find the colors difficult, but... there's always the exception! I love your Jungle Capsule, Aurora!

My entry in this category is an Emerson Fry shirt I simply love. It can be worn with white, khaki or light olive/green pants and so much fun on a summer day! Every time I wear it, I feel like I'm on a cruise (which is a kind of tropical thing, right?)

Versions of the safari style seem to always be on trend (more or less), and I think they can look really great on people with warm colouring.

I think it’s nice to see a return of earthy shades after years of the black, white and grey palette. I would like to see more bronze and a return of rust too.

Here we are seeing lots of tropical prints but in brighter colours than shown here (which is good for summer).
