For almost three years I was a member of YLF but didn't use or understand the Finds feature- what it was or how to use it to organize and track my wardrobe and shopping. Two years ago I finally started using it and I am AMAZED at how helpful it is! Using Finds and working with Angie has transformed my wardrobe and my self-esteem. If you're on YLF but don't use Finds, I so encourage you to take advantage of it!

Before, I only noticed holes in my wardrobe when I got up to get dressed and didn't have anything I wanted to wear. I shopped by buying things that I thought were pretty, with no overarching picture of what my wardrobe contained and how things worked together. I love reading style guides (Emily Cho, Brenda Kinsel and George Brescia are favorites, but I think I've read hundreds!). Over and over I've read about the energy a good wardrobe can give, but getting dressed never brought the joy they described.

Now that I use Finds, I can see themes in my wardrobe- colors and styles that make me happy. I'll admit to sometimes scrolling through my Finds just because every single item is a coherent part of a collection that brings me joy. I don't use a link to the item in my wardrobe- I like to upload a selfie so I can see what the item actually looks like on me, not perfectly merchandised.

My shopping lists have gone from, "buy some elusive thing that would have made me happy if I could have reached for it this morning" to "two pairs of shorts with 10' inseams- one in a dark color that isn't black and the other in a pattern," "two or three chiffon-weight dresses with sleeve and hem lengths I'm comfortable wearing to work", and even "neon orange luggage tags".

It's so much easier to weed out my past mistakes- they stick out like sore thumbs as I scroll through my Finds. When I find something I think will work, I can scroll through my actual wardrobe to be sure. I make FAR fewer mistakes, and I feel great about my look almost every single day. I am so grateful to Angie for providing this tool and for all the support she so generously gives all of us at YLF!!!
