In Mourning For Lost Ebay Bid :(

I have this Kooples top in white lace and and would have bought it in the red at Bloomie's in New York on vacation if they had not sold out. I was delighted to see the red lace version appear on Ebay, and I eagerly set my bids and watched my item UNTIL, someone swooped in while I was at my Independence Day party last night.

WAAAAAHHHH. This was my DREAM blouse, it fits so wonderfully. Is there ANY WAY I can track this top down? Should I dye the white one I have?

So sorry you lost the bid, what a stunning top. I think it is still gorgeous in white as well. I would not try to dye it, too risky. I would, however, watch Ebay like a hawk, another one might show up.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I suggest using a snipe program for your bid next time. I use Justsnipe, which gives me five free snipes per month. Fingers crossed you find it again!

I don't know how to snipe! That's how lame with tech I am. But I will look into it! Usually I don't like something enough to go through the trouble. I set my max bid and hope for the best. But I think on the MUST HAVE items I need to snipe.

I don't know how to snipe either ... I usually set a max bid and forget about it, but on really critical I NEED TO HAVE THIS OR ELSE I AM GOING TO EXPLODE AND DIE items I set a pretty high max bid.

With a snipe program you set your maximum bid and then forget about the auction. It swoops in during the last few seconds and bids for you. There are a lot of different snipes programs. I don't buy that much on eBay, so justsnipe's 5 free snipes is plenty for me.

It is a gorgeous top! It's too bad you missed out on it. I think the white is so beautiful that I wouldn't risk trying to dye it. I'd keep an eye out for the red one or something very similar to it. Meanwhile, enjoy the heck out of the white one!
