I bought them just to try and here are my conclusions:

I actually liked how they looked. The heel was slightly higher than the SW boots, maybe 1.75" or so. The toe was also more tapered. The elastic didn't bother me either--in fact I loved how there was no annoying zipper bulge and the calf fit was very sleek and snug. However, they were difficult to get on, even without jeans, and were too narrow/pointy for my feet. Back they go.

But they are definitely good for narrow calves. They were quite snug on my 13-13.5 inch calves.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone even cares to know this but I thought I'd share anyway..
