black t-neck and dress black pants for lbd ...

staples for thread in drop-dead emergency hemming situations ... seriously ... done it

I am in love with this thread!! I have been working all day and my creativity is sapped. Will come back in a while.

In the meantime:

Cat can be subbed for hot water bottle.

Scarves for necklaces (in winter)
Necklaces for scarves (in summer)

And re toothpaste for silver polish--I wouldn't switch it around, LOL!

Great thread - I agree stretchy pencil skirt for skinnies.
Black for navy (for me).
Lipstick for blush.
Salt water for hair product (again for me).

I haven't tried it myself, but I understand vodka for spot removal.

Not to mention vodka for gin.

A scarf for a cowl neck.
A buttoned - up cardigan for a pullover.

That game is the best! we played on Christmas and my mom made up all the dirtiest answers, lol.

To answer the question, I definitely sub ankle boots/pumps and Linen tee/ silky shell.

This is great! I often sub pants for shorts when using inspiration looks like ones in j Crew catalogue. Trust me, it is all for the best.

I just heard of this game. Must check it out.

Too funny!! you guys have come up with some great ones! Let's see:
- super glue for liquid skin
- black sharpie marker for black shoe polish
- scotch tape for lint roller
- super glue for hem tape (PS don't try it on suede...just don't ask)
- duct tape for seams (only if desperate!)
- spanx for diet
- peroxide for stain remover
- moto jacket for blazer
- chain belt for necklace (if you have the right one many uses)
Gotta take the dog out!! Aren't you glad!

Blu-tak for putty.
Sock-lings for socks.
Nutella for chocolate.
Chocolate for ...

Haven't heard of the game, but I looked up the site (where they switch out black cards and white cards, showing the possibilities), and it remind me of Bubble Talk for adults. DH and the kids and I play Bubble Talk, and sometimes DH and I are laughing hysterically over something the kids don't get at all. Granted, Bubble Talk is more suggestions of impropriety as opposed to stating it in black and white, but Cards Against Humanity looks like a fun game for adults!

Oh, and I've heard that anti-chafing gel can be used as primer (though I haven't tried it).

Yes! I use anti-chafing gel as makeup primer every day and it works like a charm! Honest to goodness, it feels just like the expensive Smashbox primer!

In a pinch, style can be substituted for substance.

But only in a pinch. Eventually, the truth will out, so it's always best to combine the two.

Totally intrigued by the game.
Hat substituted for good hair day!

You all are so much fun! We will have to have a giant CAH game on the YLF cruise!

Suz, your answer made me laugh so hard. So many things a cat can sub for... therapist, pillow, Swiffer, blanket anchor....

Along Suz's idea, walk with dog instead of therapist

Fashion tape replaces a lost button

Eraser bit replaces missing earring back

I want to play!

Piece of pencil eraser = Earring "Back."
Dog = Running Partner.
Radio Static = White Noise Machine

I love this game!!

Boyfriends for skinnies
