I'm worried about my UPS man

I have a package "out for delivery" today and I haven't seen him yet. He is always here by 11:00 and it's after 2. I hope he hasn't gotten in an accident, or been kidnapped. At what point do I call to report a missing person?

What do you mean, missing person? Isn't it the missing package we should really be worried about here?

I know what you mean about the UPS man. You can set your watch by the guy who delivers in my neighborhood! Maybe your guy has the day off and his "sub" does not know the route as well. Let us hope there is nothing sinister involved!

Is this the appropriate place to share that when I lived in the city, I occasionally stalked my UPS man?

Nothing like coming home to a notice on your door and knowing you missed a delivery! I mean, the polite thing to do would be to hop in the car and follow his route, right? To save him the inconvenience of another delivery call, of course.

My brother's girlfriend and I are always waiting on packages and our postman often gets both of us clattering down the stairs in our pyjamas when he rings the bell!

Hmmmmmm, 'round here when something goes missing, people attach signs and pictures to lamp-posts with their phone number listed at the bottom for contact. How about a "MISSING" poster with a picture of him holding your package? (Of course, you may have to draw him and then colour him in as I doubt you'll have a photo.) That way if anyone sees him they'll be sure to give you a call!

I went to the store and came home to find my package so I don't know if it was the regular guy or not. And, I'm not sure I'm in love with the boots. It's too hot to keep them on for more than 10 seconds so I'll have to assess later.

Beth- When I taught school in Texas we used to schedule our recess around the UPS guys delivery so that we could all gawk at his nice legs.

haha this is too funny!

My house has windows right along the front so anytime someone drives up the street I see them - well, as soon as a postie/courier drives up the girls and I start peering out the windows to see if they are pulling in here!! I have them trained well LOL

Edit to add: I hope your boots do work out ok Kim and I'm glad everyone was safe and sound!

My house is the last stop of the day--often UPS doesn't arrive until almost 6--unless it is something for my husband, then he comes early. Can't figure that out.
