Oh. mi. gosh. I saw these overalls on the H&M site Friday. I thought maybe I'd get them. They are sold out!

I need to stop looking online. It's too depressing.

Whoa, I never would have thought of pleather overalls, yet I surprisingly like this outfit. Are you drawn to this because of the apron vibe of the overall's bib?

I hope so too. I'll try not to be obsessive... I can't believe I wasted my time, tho, going into the store to see if they had them. There's probably something online that says "online only" too.

And since I'm miffed... H&M's site has gotten better, but I find a search field. They have the worst website still! Hahaha. It makes me feel better to whinge about them and their website...

Ok, to balance out using the sour grapes approach: those pleather overalls would have been really stinking hot. Think of how little ventilation they would have! Even less than the standard pleather pants and certainly less than a pleather mini or shorts. Unless you run arctic cold (in which case, beware of cracks), they would be un-com-for-table (said with Monty Python Knights of the Round Table style emphasis).

As far as the original photo you posted, am I the only person who thinks that the footwear choice (platform booties?) makes the model look like Frankenstein from the calves down?

Rachylou, I think Angie had a post on overalls not too long ago. If I remember right, she said that they were coming in as a fringe trend. So maybe you will see more of these types of items in the future. But it is so depressing to see an item that we really want to try, only to find it is already sold out.

When I was in 10th grade I had a pair of overalls by Dittos, which meant they were stylish and bodycon, like these. I felt so cute in them and got a ton of compliments! Are you sure the cloth ones are ugly?

I do like the pleather ones better, and I can see you in them! I hate it when that happens. It happens to me on one fabric site I browse a lot. I find myself admiring fabrics only to see "sold out" at the bottom of the description.

Now, of course, I'm seriously contemplating the *ugly* overalls. They don't have the same edginess, but they're growing on me. It's a nice shape.
