I tried those... they are the ones that looked really galoshy and had sticky zippers.

I appreciate the stalkage though!
Lately I've been finding all sorts of pretties that are SO tall in the shaft. So if any of you tall ladies are looking for gold zipper boots, I've got you covered!

The chocolat blu ones that I ordered and were 17.5"
These cole haans are 17" - this is borderline too tall?

Oh too bad. I couldn't keep track at this point so I went to the search engine here and didn't see a mention, but I was rushing. Too bad, they don't look at all galosh-y in the pic! I guess you have done a standout job of leaving no stone unturned at this point, LOL!

As for the Cole Haans, don't you want a more prominent positioning for the zipper? It's hard to tell but I think it's on the inside rather than the exterior. And 17" being too tall, that's hard for me to say. It would be borderline on me.

Nope, it's on the outside. It's also got awesome zipper teeth around the sole. Easier to see on the Nordie's page. Price is better too but they don't have my size.

I may try them anyway if they are still available after the holiday. They are 0.5" shorter than the chocolat blus, which looked ok but hit the back of my knee.

Oh yea! I tried those Cole haans, I think they are mislabeled. There is no way they are 17". They were too short for me. Those are awesome!

Oh, really Zap? Then I really should try them! Ideally I'd want 16".

ETA: amazon has them for the same price as nordie's plus there is a code for an extra 20% off (and I have a credit from returning the chocolat blus) so I think i am going to order them to try.

Yes, try them. I bought a size 8 and unless my legs got longer, they were shorter than 17.
