My girlfriend Debi (who I've been friends with for 25+ years) has made comments over the years regarding my style/outfits - always in a positive way. But something she said when we went out for a lovely evening has really stuck with me. She said "I love how you never look like anyone else in the room".

I've really been mulling this comment over the last couple of days and have come to a realization. At various times during my participation in YLF, I have been a lemming (for those of you who are new here - a lemming is when we buy an item posted by another forum member that we really like). And many times over the years I've seen an outfit on someone and wanted to copy it from head to toe because it looks fantastic on them. Ahhhhhh...but there's the crux of it. It looks fantastic on them.

I guess I do have a bit of an individual style. And I've decided that's ok. In fact, I think it's more than ok. Being able to express ourselves as individuals through our style is empowering. I like my mix of urban and corporate and fluid and structure...it's who I am.

So who else feeling more and more comfortable with their own style these days?
