Where to begin? I've had a fantastic time shopping up a storm at my 'local' Nordstrom's at Yorkdale. I did an early reconnaissance last Tuesday after work. Seemed to be more staff present than customers. SAs were inexperienced, but so exuberant. I had lots of help finding items on my list. Lots of longing gazes at the merchandise (from me), I tried a few things on, but I left without purchasing. Needed to mull it all over.
Headed back the next day with more available time. First stop was the athletic area. The fit on the Zella Crops is sublime. I purchased a pair in black, and after some coaxing the SA located a grey pair for me at another store. (shipped free, and arrived at my home 48 hrs later) Also bought a Zella tank.

Next stop - the more casual section where I had spotted the SE Anorak. The brushed cotton feels beautiful, and I love that you can detach the collar. Great piece for all seasons (save summer) and I haven't bought a new coat in at least 3 months ;-). I styled it at home in a number of ways - sadly my photo importing skills are not as adept as my shopping abilities and only a few photos have survived. I've got a short grey puffer from Uniqlo that I wear as a liner under my lighter coats to keep me toasty in the winter - and it works well under this jacket.

Now the shoe section. Walked straight over to those boots and asked the helpful SA for a size 7. He came back with that plus a few other styles - they couldn't touch the Aquatalias. Took a nano-second for me to blurt out wrap them up please.
I was fairly loaded down with bags by this point, and as I passed the courtesy desk one of the staff asked if I'd like to check my bags. Although I firmly believe if you can't carry it all, it's time to stop, it was a good idea - I was getting a little short of time and still had jewellery and scarves to look at.

At jewellery tried on leather/metal wrist thingie. Initially thought meh...but wore it out last night with a b/w ensemble (there is a photo somewhere) and really liked it. It's good to try something new.

Scarves - the Kate Spade scarf made it home with me as well. I could picture it with so many of my outfits and coats. I did try it on a few times while the tags were still on - and as you can see in the last pic that it has torn in that area. I don't believe I was that rough on this delicate fabric - am planning to take it back to the store next week. Am debating whether to replace it or simply get a return. And on a similar (quality) vein, noticed that the lovely grey embroidered sweater that was part of Angie's teasers had several pills on it while it was still on the hangar.

CDN prices vs US - I have been curious as to how the pricing would work - whether it makes more sense to shop in the US or in Canada factoring the exchange rate in. I found that pricing difference from 0 - 44% . Here's a wee piece from my excel. Maybe there's some kind of rationale relating to what the item is, and where it has been manufactured?

Loved my NAS experience. The SAs are wonderful, merchandise is beautiful. What a treat it is to see such a range of product all in one space. Of course I wouldn't even know where to start looking if it wasn't for Angie and all you fabbers - my sincere thanks to you all for sharing your wisdom and experience. Happy shopping everyone!
