I got it in the yellow. The leather is so soft... it is just so adorable. LOVE!

I am on a major clutch kick lately. As long as the clutch has the wrist strap, I am all set. So much easier to carry than lugging around a shoulder bag.

There is a question here: I have been on the hunt for the perfect black clutch. All winter long, I kept saying, "this outfit would be perfect if I had a black clutch." I was going to buy this clutch in black - but then I fell in love with the yellow and went with that instead. The question is, should I duplicate in the black? Or hold out?

I doubt I'll get much use out of black clutch this summer, so I could afford to wait it out.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, I might get that black clutch myself, since I don't have a good one. So don't ask me to be unbiased about whether you should!

Great clutch! I would wait to get a black one in the same style. If you have two of the same, you may get tired of the style. Also, there is a chance your new bag will fill in for those outfits you thought you needed a black one for. The yellow is a great neutral to me.

I usually prefer to purchase purses in person, because I'm all about the tactile, can't stand heavy purses, and have a hard time judging sizes/scale, even when measurements are given. But, I've had such great luck with Nordie's for purses this year, so I gave it a chance, and wasn't disappointed.

My criteria for a clutch:
- Must be real leather. I'm a bit of a snob on that, sorry. It's the tactile part. I do own some non-leather purses, but hands down, tend to reach for the real leather before the others. I kept petting this purse all last night- DH was laughing at me!

- Must be the right scale for me: a lot of clutches look enormous on my petite frame.

- Absolutely must have the wrist strap! I get tired of clutching a clutch. I like being able to just dangle it....

- Good hardware, sturdily built. Esp important in a clutch, because if you overpack it, well... you risk having everything spill out on the ground if you bust the hardware!

This one has great hardware: it not only has a zipper, it has a magnet to hold the flap shut. It is quite roomy too - though I like it sparsely populated.

GET THE BLACK!

Lisa, right now I only have one black purse, and it's my "go-to" bag for work, as it's a "serious" bag and quite large. Fits a lot. I love it, but there are times when I need a black bag to complete an outfit, because I've already got so much going on elsewhere. I just want a smaller one.

I hate to be an enabler, but I really think you should duplicate- you might regret not doing so if you can't find one later on. Besides, I find it hard to imagine you tiring of a style that seems so you.

I am drooling! That is GORGEOUS!! I would definitely pick up the black as well, if you can swing it...I'd get it now, cuz if you wait till fall/winter you probably wont find one you like as much and that one may be long gone.....

What a lovely bag! Get it in black and stash it away for fall. If you come across one you'd like better you can return it. I'll bet you won't wait until fall to use it ;o)

Oh la la! I love it, too. I'd hold out if you don't think you want a black one until fall. You can get this one then, or if another catches your eye you can get that.

Hi Shiny-Sounds like you really want and can use the black so I say go for it and use it well. Looking forward to seeing both bags in future posts.

Shiny, that's a gorgeous bag! I think you might want to go ahead and duplicate for two reasons. One, the bag in black will look very different from the yellow and second, your requirements for a good bag are specific enough that it sounds like finding the right one is a challenge.

I'm in love, too. But I don't know about duplicating it in black. But that's just because there are so many great bags out there I'd want to find for another, different look I love instead of having two of the same thing.

Oooo yummy bag. I'm not usually a fan of duplicating but i did duplicate a Faith clutch bag which is fairly plain and suitable for everything from smart casual to formal i have them in black and cream so I say go for it if you love the look that much x
As an after thought will you still love ruffles next year? my duplicate is really plain and I doubt will date? just a thought x?
