So, I cooked these amazing lamb shanks in Guiness in the slow cooker and wanted to make a gravy from the yummy smelling sauce. As I tightened the top on the blender in preparation to whazz things up, something nagged at the back of my mind....

...of course I didn't listen, and an explosion ensued. Thankfully no burns, but a h$&* of a mess. I cleaned the ceiling, then ate dinner (delicious!) then spent 2 hours cleaning the rest of the kitchen while DH escaped to a friend's house to watch a hockey game.

Well, I won't do that again. Made an apple cake, and chocolate chip cookies, so the kitchen smells pretty good, and all traces of my disaster have been obliterated.
