Great accomplishment and realization. Enjoy your well earned and gorgeous wardrobe.
I keep saying I'm all set but the thrill of something new always drags me back. I am being more picky and sticking to specific things, so an improvement over my old ways.
Well done you!

Congratulations. I am very impressed (and a little jealous). I'll get there some day.

Woohooo! What a great feeling that must be! I hope to feel like this in another couple of spring/summers!!
You actually freeze your credit card, Shannon. That is so funny.

Rita - not the twinny dress???!!!! I totally agree - that's gonna be a hard one to replace. It is one of THE best dresses I've ever purchased.

Caro - love your friend's story! Too funny.

Mona - I've been with YLF over two years now and I'm just now starting to figure out what I want my style to be. It takes time and I think will always be a work in progress.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments - it is indeed a nice place to be

NAS stands for Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale. It's held in July and it's where for a limited time new fall items are introduced and sold at great discount prices. Angie provides us with her picks each year for clothing, accessories, handbags and shoes and then we all shop like CRAZY WOMEN!

I finished spring and summer too. If a really great find came along I'd pounce, but other than that I'm sorted. I'm on shpping stutdown til NAS. Isn't it a great feeling to be done. At least for now.

I think I am too, and it's a good feeling! Picked up what should be my workhorse walking sandals yesterday, and that should be IT. Since I have been shopping for Spring/Summer since FEBRUARY, which is insane for me, I am looking forward to 3 months off shopping. Will not be NASing, and do not feel the need to Fall shop before September since I know there will still be tons of Fall/Winter stuff then. Since my previous summer pattern was frantically searching the sale racks for anything that fit in June & July, I feel well and truly prepared to relax and enjoy.

I am also done with spring/summer shopping for now. The only items left on my list are reserved for visiting my family in NJ this summer and possibly doing a little outlet shopping (no taxes on clothing in NJ, unlike NY where everything is taxed).

With only a few more weeks of school, I have very little need for a spring/summer professional wardrobe. The summer season is devoted to making clothes on my sewing machine, yoga and pilates at the gym, lots of outdoor activities, and vacations!

What a great place to be.

I think it will be liberating to recognise that desire for a new item stems from a want rather than a need. It is not a shopping ban it is a shopping holiday because the hard work has already been done.

Congratulations, Shannon. You've bought carefully and thoughtfully, and now you're reaping the benefits.

I'm going through my summer options this afternoon....and feeling less than satisfied. Can you send a little wardrobe focus my way? hehe

How does the freeze stop the online purchases? (Asks the person who has all card info. memorized). Just teasing - I know, it's a sort of ceremonious step. I'm so tired of returning items that I think it's making me lose interest in more "new" and realizing I have plenty of things to wear already. Of course I do have one or two items already on the way but after that, I think I'm done for summer too.

I feel the same way as you do too Shannon. I had two dresses arrive today that I had 'forgotten' about ( garnet hill and old navy). They are going back. And oh yes my gut reaction was almost to throw up. More smmer clothes? WHO ORDERED THESE?

Yeah...that would be me...the dumdum.

love the place you are in. Any more spots available?

Well Done Shannon!
I am nearly there too- still 'looking', but under the one-in-one-out theory not much I see is better than what I already have.

You are awesome. Inspirational!

Shedev - it truly is a great feeling. I'm almost wondering what I'm going to do with my spare time - lol!

Jules & Karie - sounds like you have some lovely relaxing time ahead of you.

RoseandJoan - positively BRILLIANT observation!

Nancylee - I'll see what I can do

textstyle - luckily I don't use my credit card enough to memorize the numbers or I'm sure I could do some serious damage!

Sona - especially since our summers are so short (yours isn't much longer!) it just seems silly after a while to have so much for our shortest season. And yes...I'd love to have you join me

Lyn and Nicole - thank you!

YAY !!! This is the holy grail, isn't it Shannon ? The feeling of "enough" is an awesome feeling. Congrats !!!

Me too, Shannon. I kinda do want to take a little break from shopping. I have a couple things on my f/w wishlist but I'll let NAS be the official start of the search. I just want a little time to enjoy my lovelies.

What a beautiful feeling:) A big happy congratulations.

Yay! A great realization. I am following you shortly, I hope. The only thing I really miss is a bag. Other than that, I'm done too.

If you like any of the bags on the Danier site, you know I can grab one for you Ingunn

Congratulations! Sounds like it's a fantastic place to be. I've decided to join you, I'm done shopping too.

Shannon, I know! You are so helpful. A Danier bag is really worth consideration.
