Thanks Beth Ann! I guess it's a question of how I'm feeling from one day to the next when it comes to these pants, but I'm sure find a way to wear them! You're right that the fabric of the navy blouse is rather flowy, it also has this silken sheen to it, it looks very nice in natural light. And I think it will be perfect on hot summer days!
Thanks Claire! She really is a gem. You're right that this is a very good way to stretch my comfort zone, and I'm glad that she think so too! The pants with the shirt and my denim jacket sound like a good way to start. You're right about the color too, although I've seen guys wearing pink pants recently. The blouse doesn't really pull, although it looks that way in one of the pictures. Because of the shortness in front it closes without a problem. But I'll try experimenting with maybe buttoning it only partway or simply leaving it open completely.
Thanks Mochi! I've already cut the tags on the blouse.
Thanks Shannon!
Thanks Christieanne! I think the stripes with the floral is awesome too, I really like that one. The blue of the blouse really is lovely and I agree that it seems to work better with the jeans.
Thanks Kristin! I've thought about hemming them, but decided to leave them as they are for now.
Thanks Deborah! I'll have fun with these pieces!
Thanks Aida! Love the idea of the oxfords with the skirt outfit, I'll definitely try that too. And yay for spotting that belt! It was a great decision to keep it, I've worn it a lot already and I really like the vibe it adds to my outfits.
Thanks Manidipa! She really is. She just has an eye for what works. She actually doesn't spend much money on her wardrobe at all but has the right eye for mixing things in a way that they look really fab, current and expensive too. I'm going the leave the length of the pants as it is, I think you're right. I've never thought about my crossbody bag emphasizing my waist before, but that's true! And I agree that the drape of the blouse is perfect together with the jeans.
Thanks Fruitful!
