I'm BACK!!! And I'm on a mission!

Hello ladies!

It's been awhile! I was on ahealth-motivated hiatus for a time, but things are looking up and I'm back! Hope to get back into the swing of things soon. Hellos to all the new forum members I may have missed this month!

Is it any surprise that I return to the forum with the bit between my teeth? I'm keeping my fall purchases quite streamlined this year, but one of the things I do want to continue is building my handbag collection (I've been adding one good quality bag to my collection for each season of the past year and a half or so). This time, I'm hell bent on finding a black and white bag. They've got to be out there somewhere!! May I request your help in finding some? I need one that's about medium sized with a strap drop that allows it to sit comfortably on my shoulder (anywhere from 10 to 16 inches is just about perfect). I prefer a zip closure, but will be flexible on that point. Has anyone, anywhere, seen something that could fit the bill? Any tips on looking on ebay or other cost-effective places?

Isabel, I'm not really sure what would be best. My instinct says black with white accents or an even mix of the two, just because I want to use this during our Canadian winters, but I'm willing to be guided.

It's rectangular, black base with 6 cream stripes running horizontally. The strap is mixed, part chain (near the bag) and the rest leather.

do you have the T.J. Maxx stores around where you live? my two Italian leather handbags were both purchased there at very steep discount....you have to shop in person, and the selection is unpredictable, but they always have some great gems there.

Anna, you're csuh a champion! The second one you posted is way out of my price range, but the first Kate Spade could work! My only concern is the size. It is much smaller than either of these two bags? And is it a super-sporty-looking piece?

It's not sporty at all. It's pretty classic. It's 10 inches by 7 inches. Hard to tell if that compares to your existing bags. The color combination you want I saw a lot in the spring/summer lines, not so much in fall/winter. You might have to stalk some clearance sales.

hey, michelle, glad to see you back despite health challenges.

have you considered a snakeskin or other print which has white/black elements or do you prefer more graphic black/white?

Without measuring, and just based on descriptions from a few different websites, it sounds similar in size and shape to the pewter bag I posted above.
