I'm back!!!!!!!!!!

Hi gals! I'm Back after being on vacations!

This time we decided to experiment rural tourism on a farm on the south of Portugal, excelent for the children, but it almost killed me (a girl that always lived on a big city).. far from everything, no internet access, no shopping.. I'm so glad I'm back!!!!

Sounds like a great holiday! I'm more of a country girl myself and grew up on a farm but at the same time, I can't imagine going without internet or shopping for a long period of time.

Welcome back, Rute. The children will benefit so much from this farm experience. I'm constantly amazed at even how many Kansas children don't have any idea that their food starts out on farms.

I admit that your vacation sounds fab to me. I'm both a city and country girl- I could never live in the country, but if I can't escape to it every few months I go crazy. I need nature and peace every now and then to keep me sane.

Hi Rute! I was wondering where you've been! Glad you're back!

Your farm vacation brings back memories for me. We stayed at a cheese farm once in the Netherlands when our children were young. My daughter would get up every morning to help make the cheese. We still laugh to this day about how a bus load of tourists stopped to buy cheese and were snapping photos of the little *Dutch girl* (so they thought) making cheese. That vacation was also memorable for us because our son learned to crawl while we were there. Awww, those were the days! Your children will have wonderful memories.
