..my SA suspected that nordies is holding a lot of stock back for the sale opening to the general public. that's the good news. the bad news--you've have to go back and brave the crowds!

As much as I want to see the merchandise in person, I'm probably not going to be able to take time off of work to get there.

I'm going to order what I think is my size and if it's not available at that moment, I'll get the closest thing to it and hope to exchange for my size later.

@modgrl--you may want to purchase 2 sizes if you're unsure of the fit. this way, you're more likely to get the right size before they run out.

This is why I only preselect things I can't live without, order what I reallyreally want to try online on Friday, and brave crowds just for the experience and thrill of it.
Plus, there's usually stuff I miss in the first two passes.

@sarah--i've been looking at my list of things that i've preselected trying to trim to a manageable size. your comment about "things you can't live without" struck a chord and put the list into perspective. i think most of it is going back because of this phrase. thanks!!!

I happened to be at the mall and asked if I could make an appointment and the SA just ushered me behind the curtain. I was not prepared, left my favorites at home, had only 30 minutes to shop. I did end up with the Halogen seamed skirt in black and ordered the purple (hard decision between the yellow and purple, but she was able to order my size so I chose that) I'm rebuilding everything so I tried to stick to basics. Also got the Halogen Stencil wrap skirt - should work with anything. I tried on the Suzi Chin dresses for fun (purple and grey and teal and grey) Oh I should not have. I loved them both but really need more than one dress.

Actually, the SA's I talked to yesterday both expressed frustration (in a very mild and professional manner, of course) because much of their stock was already sold out, and they expect customers to be disappointed or angry on Friday. (Doesn't sound like stock being held back!). I think the new pre-sale opportunity for *all* cardholders has created a bigger rush than they expected. I don't envy those SA's! Be nice to them!!

And yes, my advice would also be to order online, and to check back frequently, since there will be a LOT of return processing in the coming weeks, so stuff that's out of stock one week might well be available again the next week.
