If you've been considering a long-sleeved swimsuit

No, I'm not kidding. I started looking for these last year for their sun protection, but found they often had zero lining or support in the top half.

The "unisuit" sold here claims to have cups that stay in place:

April, I love this in theory! The less sticky sunscreen I have to keep re-applying the better! I spent too many years working as a lifeguard before it was well known that we should be applying sunscreen and not baking ourselves with oil, etc. I wish they made long torso suits. Even though I don’t really have a long torso, that style suit seems to fit me best because of my height.

First thought was: whaaa? cause I was thinking outside like at the beach.

But- then I remembered the cold pool I go to sometimes-and thought, hey it's like a wetsuit but they won't yell at me

I had a back yard pool in the desert and wore a rash guard with a collar when swimming. This would have been perfect, too.

I have a longsleeved rashguard, and I wear a bikini top underneath it, because I was so frustrated with the options for support and control. Cool that at least one place is trying it!

I always wear a long sleeved rash guard with my swimsuit. I think Lands End is offering rash guard pants this year. I saw some someplace earlier this spring. Skirts are a good idea.

We have a boat, so spend a fair bit of time in the damaging Australian sun. I have a long sleeved rashie that I wear over my swimmers. A long sleeved swimsuit sounds intriguing, though I wonder how it would be to go to the bathroom!

I wear a long sleeve rashguard and swim shorts most of the time. Agreed that the cup support/modesty padding is often lacking!

Lucy - they have a zip all the way down the front, so in some ways easier bathroom procedure than some regular maillot styles I've had. Of course, you'd want to keep the (probably wet) sleeves from dragging on the floor -- ick.

Once we started living in a house with a pool, I more or less stopped taking the whole suit down for a quick trip to the bathroom. This will horrify some of you, but I merely pull the crotch completely to one side.

Perhaps this is why I went all last summer without once putting on a swimsuit.
