So tops are getting more fluid and now a normal jacket won't fit as well over the extra material. Not even talkin' about chunky oversized.
Because of how i dress at work, not often wearing a tradional indoor topper durng the workday, I'm moving more toward " parking lot" jackets-- short (or long) trench or dafari jacket or all- purpose topper for transit, for running errands after work, rather than very many actual indoor jackets( seger says looking at a dozen still in the closet).
These don't have to " go" as precisely as typical indoor toppers and can layer over various fits. So that " capsule" can be leaner and maybe free up space and resouces to updated more
as needed.
But what do you do if you wear a lot of real toppers during your workday? Are
they still working for you? Have you
had to buy new fits there?
One thing I think is that the fluid or sized up fit is way more important when there is no plan for a topper.
Because the fit is more exposed.
Perhaps that's so obvious but it is helping me see which items do or don't need to " go" with something vs stand alone. Plus to remember that i need a few slimmer knits and blouses to fit
under a jacket and have that capsule but not try to expect all my tops to
match up with the perfect topper.
