If you won the Nordies $2500 gift card what would you buy?

Nordstrom is offering reviewers the chance to win a $2500 gift card; I think they are only giving out one in each of the two sweepstakes periods so the chances of winning are pretty minuscule. But I am still submitting a review each day, ha, ha, ha.

What would you buy if you received this $2500 windfall?

I think I would at least try on footwear more expensive than my normal $200 ceiling. Since my feet are growing fussier by the minute, I wouldn't stock up because who knows if I would be able to tolerate a pair year after next? But I've always wanted to see if Fryes would fit me. . . and then maybe an expensive tote since I've never had one . . .

It was quite a feat to get DH to accept a couple of shirts I bought during Nordies' Men's Sale, and he definitely needs to up his game and revamp his wardrobe, so I would spend some needed $ here.

DD will be graduating from college in 2016 and will be needing a work wardrobe. I'm not sure that she will find any appropriate clothing to her taste and that fits her, but I want her to have decent supportive shoes and boots, and Aquatalias ain't cheap!

$2500 is a chunk of change, but then it isn't. One big shopping trip for the three of us and then it would be gone. Of course, I would make it my Triple Points Day.

Ohh... it's always fun to play the "what if" game.

I think I'd buy a few nice pairs of shoes for me and DF. Then, I'd like to get a nice suit for my both of my brothers. They're still in grad school and could use a good suit. I'm not sure how much would be left after all that, but I think I'd like to treat myself to a nice purse or 2 with what's left.

Absolutely no idea, but I mentioned to the BF he should enter since he's bought a hefty chunk of Canali work clothing this last month.
Maybe a great winter coat and some ridiculous shoes or fancy cuff bracelet.

Cashmere sweaters for the winter ahead. And a fabulous winter coat from Canada Goose - the kind used for people on arctic expeditions and climbing Mt. Everest. Take that polar vortexes!

Ooohh...I would head on over to the leather jacket department, and some cashmere sounds good too. And some of the expensive shoes—yes, I could handle that! Maybe some AGLs, which I refuse to even try on because I'm afraid I'll like them too much to say no. And I'd try on some of the premium denim just for good measure.

A really nice handbag. I have a $300 dollar limit on purses for myself so I would get something awesome.

Then probably freak and never use it because I am rough on purses.

If I had a $2500 gift card in my pocket, I might actually try on a Burberry coat. And check out a designer handbag. I could probably spend it on a few pairs of shoes lickety-split. I would definitely be going for the less-is-more thinking. And it would all be for me. Is that awfully self-centered?

Ah, Deborah, Nordies has a bit of Rick Owens but sadly at his prices, $2,500 wouldn't go far. And where I live, sales tax is over 9%, so I'd have to take that into account, too.

A wardrobe pet. Definitely. No doubt about it. And if Greg saw an Armani, Boss or Theory leather jacket he loved, we'd throw in that too.

A great leather jacket and a handbag. I would stick only to things outside my normal price range; something I wouldn't normally buy. But I think I'd try Nordstrom Rack first.

Undies, a couple pairs of good shoes (that Naot oxford Angie linked to is tempting!), and a good trench coat. The rest I'd give to my mom & sister.

At this point, my husband's need list is longer than mine. That said, I am on the lookout for a crossbody bag, so a leather one would be at the top of my list. I wouldn't say no to Hunter boots and a tailored rainproof jacket from Barbour.

What a great question! I would buy a black Burberry trench (because I love my Khaki one so much), a pair of gold special occasion heels for my fantasy life and a cocktail dress that I absolutely don't need but would enjoy wearing once in a while and looking at in my closet.

Actually, I would also get gifts for my husband and sons too and would be willing to cut everything but the coat for myself if need be

Ooooh, the fun. I'd buy the navy Smythe blazer with the cut out back vent that the Duchess of Cambridge has, and a khaki Burberry trench. Both would be workhorses as well as wardrobe pets. A win-win!
