If you look at the activity stream...

.....on the new "HOME" page, it's quite a joy to see how many active members have chosen their pets, or animals, as their avatar. Love that!

The activity stream changes all the time so you might have to wait a while to get the full effect of what I am talking about. But about 10 minutes ago, every single avatar was an animal - and that makes my heart melt.

The girls have long necks like their Mummy. They like red too

That pic was taken 4 years ago on our Seattle deck during a snow storm. The girls love to chomp on fresh snow so I indulged them.

My avatar is my always and forever in my heart horse Domino, who recently passed away at age 35. I got him as a 2 year old, so he was a part of some of the best times and memories over a huge span of my life. An absolutely beautiful fellow inside and out.

Bless all the wonderful animals that so enrich our lives and teach us so much about unconditional love and loyalty.

Debora, your birdie looks just like mine did. I guess that's not unusual for cockatiels. They are sweet little creatures. This was mine giving kisses to our parakeet.

Here's a first: posting a picture of me sleeping, in my PJ's. I had to sleep on the couch a couple of years ago while my room was being painted and Lucie ended up joining me. I am still unsure of who took this picture...

You know I can't resist posting a picture, right? Here's my sweet baby Brownie when he was a wee 17lbs. He's nearly 90lbs now but just as cute (well, I think so anyway...)

And then there's Scooter, who will always be Cat of my Heart. He died from cancer a year ago in June and I will never stop missing him:(

Here are my fluff monsters - little Chester Bubbles (first and last pic) passed away a couple of months ago but Sally Wet Drawers (so named because the day we got her as a 6 week old pup she weed all down my mum's t-shirt and had a bit of a "wee when I'm excited" problem) is still going strong at 16! She misses her Chester though As do I.

Sally loves to bury herself in blankets and beanbags. It's so cute!
