What about sizing (those Magnificent are tempting . . .)

I know this is pretty subjective, but the one pair of Kut I got at the NRack was a Size 2 and I am NOT a Size 2 (not even close), so I AM confused.

I thought they ran pretty small. I usually wear a 4 but bought a size 2 which were very snug initially. But the 4 was too loose in the waist (but OK everywhere else).

Oooh, thanks. I have been eyeing these (hee, I think I should try them for the name alone!) but I actually did not like the white seaming on the NAS pair. I prefer the wash and seaming on the second pair.

My Kut straight leg jeans (I have 2 pairs) run quite large - I sized down and they do stretch out a little bit.

Beth and QM, what is the fabric on these like-thick or thin, and does it hold its shape? I would prefer that it be thicker and more substantial, since skinnies in too thin, stretchy fabrics tend to fit like leans on me...

I just noticed that the NAS ones say they are a 13.5-inch leg opening, but they look very lean-like.

The Magnificent ones say 13-inch leg opening but they look less lean-like.

More confusion - what to trust?

Interesting. I just ran upstairs to measure mine...the leg opening is exactly 12 inches. I assume the leg opening size would vary depending on size?

Diana, the fabric is definitely substantial, not thin or flimsy at all. After they relax a little over a few hours and I take them off, I would swear they bounce back to the original snugness the next time I put them on. Or maybe I just need to put the Jaffa Cakes down. :O

I got Diana skinnies and sadly have to return them because they are too short. Otherwise I really like them. I had to go with the larger size from my in-between - smaller size fitted well enough too but SA said that bigger size gave me more thigh room and I think she was right.

Beth, I think the Kut's in the Magnificent wash were the ones I had to return in January because they bagged out big time on me. Do either you or Kim have a problem with bagging with this wash?

I did get the Exquisite wash at NAS and wore them for a few hours with no bagging at all. I might return them , though, because I have an almost identical Ann Taylor pair. (I think I mentioned that in an earlier thread).

Debora, that's very interesting. My pair is the least stretchy denim I own. In fact, I'd swear that they bounce back to their original shape after I've tossed them on a chair for the night.
