I think it's a brilliant idea to bring items that are very high on the happiness factor to Florida. It's OK to be practical, but, given your situation, a wardrobe of practical is likely to make you feel even more ambivalent about being in Florida. Thinking of all your best-loved items sitting in a closet on the other side of the continent doesn't sound like a very good situation to me. Bring the good stuff, leave the rest, and enjoy the opportunity to wear only your 9 and 10's for the next few months.
It looks like you've already decided but my first choice was #1, with the caveat that I was concerned about tall boots in a hot climate. Since that's not an issue, I'm glad you chose them!
Gaylene, my thoughts exactly! I do also want to keep in mind, and bring, what I will actually wear, and not just 'loves' that may in reality be too dressy or too hot, etc etc. That means some supporting acts along with the statement pieces, but the best of the support staff lol!
