Today, I ventured out and put together a skirt and jacket combination that I hadn't tried yet. I fall victim to "outfit rut" quite often, so I'm trying to come up with new combinations. I have on a skirt and jacket you've seen before (gray/silver lace patterned skirt and coral jacket with taupe tips at the lapel). I paired those with an ivory silk blouse and ivory shoes. I think it turned out pretty well, really.
The first comment I get when I walk in the door at work is that I look like a flight attendant, and then the person started to make arm gestures like one of the guys who guides the plane in to the gate. (I can hear some snickering out there -- it was pretty funny now that I think about it.) I have absolutely nothing against flight attendants or the guys on the ground, but that certainly wasn't the look I was after. Really. Do this for me today -- if you see someone who looks like they need a boost, give them a compliment! Now, where did I leave my wings pin?
