Oh, shoes... *squee* Well, on my personal wish list, there are a few styles that would fit the bill, such as Trippen Dragon bootees, Grotesque La Vie Biker bootees, Clarks Frecke Face flats, and Tiggers TS-Sara pumps. I know, the heel is probably not so good for walking a lot, but... they're so pretty *sighs happily and stares into air*
Where was I? - To answer your questions:
Versatile shoe? I'd probably go for bootees, ankle boots, oxford-style shoes, or for ballet flats, mary janes. No heel or very little heel. If you really want to do some serious walking in them, I'd actually opt for pretty shoes made of leather which also have room for an orthopaedic insole (you won't have to use one, but this assures there is enough room for your foot, and it'll be of good quality).
Can you get it fast? Well, I'd assess the shoe brands you know are comfortable for your feet, and then order several styles you like from that brand. One of them is bound to fit!
Good luck, let us know what you decide on
