Blush, black, camel suede, yellow, red. Vera Wang Lavender Lara ballet flat - soft and cushioned, cut so it doesn't bug my bodacious bunion, and hides my scary toes. Dress up or down! What's not to love?

All my pretty sandals are sulking, but they'll get over it.

I buy almost all my shoes this way. I'm on my way to owning the Cole Haan Air Tali OT in three colors. I really love Me Too ballet flats too (usually) and if I find a style that works, I'll usually buy them in black and animal print.

I'm all for duplication when you find something that works. What pretty colors! Doesn't bug the bunion you say??? Hmmm....will have to think about this myself.

I did the exact same thing with my T-strap pumps. I bought them in every colour available so I have black, cognac, grey, and nude!

Oh, that's fun but I'm surprised! I don't know if I've ever seen you sporting a ballet flat before. But you're right, when they're good ones (the right ones for your feet), there's nothing like them for comfort.

I've often duplicated clothing articles but I don't think I've ever done it with shoes except for my favorite flip flops. That pretty assortment of colors should cover most bases!

So pretty! I've tried on these flats before and thought they were quite fab! Now I don't feel alone with my little collection of three nearly identical cap-toe ballet flats. When the shoe fits in so many ways, you gotta wear it, huh?

Looks very fun and cheerful! Glad the duplication strategy works for you. I can't do it, though, because I've learned from experience that I always favor one particular item in a particular color, while the duplicates languish. My flat feet also need variety of footbeds to avoid fatigue. And finally, by the time an item wears out, I find that I'm ready to move on to something different anyway. As Angie says, horses for courses.

Ha, I'd just move on to thrilled and convince myself blue was such a basic that it was a "need". What can I say--the sight would bring joy to my heart every morning when I got to decide exactly the right color to go with my outfit.

If this makes us weird, IK, so be it!

ETA: If you think it might make you feel better, I could take a pic of my pile of inexpensive, summer T-shirts. I've purposely stacked them so they look like a rainbow...

Ha! I was just going to post yesterday about my sheepish but happy duplication -- my Cole Haan rose gold sandals!

My original pair is still wearable but the finish took a beating in some less-than-ideal conditions (when hiking boots would have been more appropriate!). These sandals are such summer workhorses for me and so classic, that I hunted down an identical pristine pair on eBay and jumped! The new pair is pictured here.

I completely understand. I have 2 pair of Kelsi Dagger Genelle wedges (orange and tan, nude and black) and I love them both. I would duplicate my Ted Baker pumps if I could find more of them.

Great idea!! I did the same. I have three pairs of tsubo dufay pumps in red, black and nude. They are no longer producing them so I might duplicate in the nude because I love them so much!!!
