I like the first one best (scared of elastic around the waist). I think I would have analysis paralysis from such a decision.

For me, silk would trump polyamide and I have always had a special place in my heart for floral embroidery. But oh do I LOVE me a celestial theme!

I feel like I've seen a similar textile and color palette to #1 in vintage on eBay 2-3 years ago, either it was Valentino or maybe Oscar de la Renta? It was a fit-and-flare coat/dress, but not too flared (as I recall, anyway). I'm wondering, if you stalk vintage & consignment shops, if there is any possibility of scaring up something similar, couture, but in a more affordable price bracket.

Durrr... today, sans-Nyquil, I am remembering that Roberto Cavalli did a really awesome celestial print (I have that denim mermaid-tail skirt I found on eBay). If your heart is set on celestial, it might be worth the time and patience to track down something on eBay or designer consignment sites & stores.
